Try And Try, Till You Succeed
Now, we have all heard it and we do that quite most of the times until we either succeed or until we give up. I have seen a lot of aspring who go through a lot of tutorials out there and at the end of the day (figuratively speaking), become frustrated seeing other aritsts’ work, noting that they are way, way behind.
And as one of my online friends said, it is one thing to follow tutorials, use tools, use effects and create artworks, but after a point talent plays a role, and that is why some people can do artworks and others cannot.
I agreed and disagreed with him at the same time. It all depended on what you meant by talent. I believe that anyone can create artworks to express themselves, and all they require is talent. I also believe that talent can be earned; it can be earned by practice.
It is something in parallel to what our elders have been saying. Try and try, till you succeed. Now, if we go by it literally, it can be a quite frustrating experience. But once you change your perspective and realize that everytime you try, you succeed a little bit.
Every time you plan to do an artwork, practice sketching it or doodling it several time. Every time you strat sketching the same subject, you will be succeeding a little bit, because you will be correcting at least one mistake you did in the previous one. And when you actually start working on your artwork, it will be a bigger success than if you had worked on it right away.
If this post helped you or you would like to learn how you can apply it to sketching, download the free guide to sketching, ‘You Too Can Sketch’ from its download page. Also, subcribe to KalaaLog feeds to learn more as I learn more.
